Controversial toys??? ?

Inell Riesgo: +Teen Talk Barbie(1992)-It used to be a kind of speakme dolls, like Chatty Cathy. It used to be debatable due to the fact that the dolls stated whatever alongside the strains of "Math elegance is hard", making humans feel it used to be pronouncing that ladies don't seem to be shrewd on the subject of math. It used to be particularly giant, I feel recollect listening to whatever approximately those humans switching the speak packing containers in GI Joes with Barbie and visa verse and returning them to the shops in order that a few Barbies could say stuff like "Eat dust, crook" within the GI Joes voice, and the GI Joes could often say in Barbies tone "Will we ever have ample garments?" and stuff like that. Also, this doll used to be founded on an episode of the Simpsons referred to as "Lisa vs. Malibu Stacy" in 1994. +Oreo Barbie(1997)-Oreo Barbie(named after the cookie of the equal title) resulted in controversie due to the fact that there used to be each bl! ack and white dolls made, and oreo is often a racial slur for an African american man or woman short of to be a white man or woman/is a white man or woman at the within(feel approximately the cookie; white at the within, black at the external.)...Show more

Gwenda Micheals: I know a good one: makeup. Even though little girls think it's 'fun' to dress up and pretend their older, they shouldn't be worrying about their appearance at their age. They should have fun playing with REAL TOYS! There is no reason to introduce makeup to these girls now. They don't need to be obsessing over their looks!

Barton Morfee: there are many controversial toys like Reborn doll,Grand Theft Auto,Pepa Pig,Gay Bob,The Pole-Dancing Doll etc....controversial toys means the toys which reveals a reality.....for more information go through this: http://www.airsoftrc.com/rc-toys/rc-helicopters.ht...

Roselee Mczeal: Wow what crappy answers. One guy doesn't know the difference between con! troversial and safety hazard(or bad parenting, who leaves thei! r baby alone with latex balloons?), and the other thinks rc helicopters are controversial. Anyway, there is this poorly thought out toy from a Spanish company that lets children do pretend breastfeeding for a baby doll:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fqYoZVroBZs

Esteban Lyson: A few things I have read about recently:1. Latex balloons - Broken latex balloon parts are very dangerous to toddlers and crawlers who may find them on the floor and put them in their mouth. Even older children are at risk for inhaling a piece of balloon if the balloon explodes during inflation. Balloons cause more choking deaths than any other product for kids.2. Children's jewelry - often made in countries that do not uphold to lead standards.3. Video games containing violence.4. Toys with small balls or magnets that may pose a choking hazard.5. Toy guns or other toy weapons.6. Barbie (seems that some folks think she gives young girls an unrealistic expectation of what they should look like).! ...Show more

Micah Schwarcz: It really depends on who you talk to and where you are in the world.Barbie has had a few controversies over time. First the original Barbie was modeled after Bild Lilli doll in Germany. Lilli was a blonde bombshell, a working girl who knew what she wanted and was not above using men to get it.One of the most common criticisms of Barbie is that she promotes an unrealistic idea of body image for a young woman, leading to a risk that girls who attempt to emulate her will become anorexic.Teen Talk Barbie said, "Math class is tough!" as one of her phrases. This led to criticism from the American Association of University Women.Saudi Arabia outlawed the sale of Barbie dolls, saying that she did not conform to the ideals of Islam. The Committee for the Propagation of Virtue and Prevention of Vice stated "Jewish Barbie dolls, with their revealing clothes and shameful postures, accessories and tools are a symbol of decadence to the perverted W! est.Totally Tattoos Barbie with a range of tattoos that could be applie! d to the doll, including a lower back tattoo, led to controversy. Ed Mayo, chief executive of Consumer Focus, argued that children might want to get tattooed themselves.Barbie Video Girl, a Barbie doll with a pinhole video camera in its chest, enabling clips of up to 30 minutes to be recorded, viewed and uploaded to a computer via a USB cable. The FBI issued a warning in a private memo that the doll could be used to produce child pornography, although it stated publicly that there was "no reported evidence that the doll had been used in any way other than intended."GI Joe was not with out controversy. During the Vietnam war there was a back lash against so called war toys, be it toy guns or toy soldiers. This was bad enough Hasbro turned Gi Joe into The Adventures of GI Joe in 1969 and then in 1970 GI Joe formed the Adventure Team (AT).In the state of Vermont there seems to be, or at least was, a no plastic toy mentality and wooden toys are preferred....Show more
