Gambling is destroying the UK. Is the USA having the same problem?

Rona Ising: NO. US is sensible not to encourage that because NKO would have had the leverage to invade the south or simply speed up their nuke programm instead.

Lourie Mcroberts: Off course betting has been legal in the UK since 1961, sorry but I don't understand what you talking about , personally it doesn't interest me, I never gamble...

Claude Gloden: I've had that impression since January 2009....my gut is usually right.

Luis Mellon: President Obama said his family would be fine if he decided to become a one-term President and wanted to move on to something else. Do you think he's extremely unsure about his chances at a second term and is giving the country the impression he'd be ok with only one term? Doesn't it seem like an odd thing for a standing President to say?

Raelene Cunnick: They have the full backing of the US.They don't need anything of their own.

Daren Ventrice: SK doesn't have nukes to my knowledge, they have United States ! soldiers and Marines there on the border. The only reason you would need nukes for defense would be to destroy the enemy (NOT shoot down the nuke with a nuke, that's not how things work). And the only reason to do that is if the enemy was to attack you first, the democratic nations don't and are almost incapable of doing this. That is why NK shouldn't have nukes....Show more

Vickie Sterbenz: Your trying to tell people how to spend their money is a crock.

Bryant Pillitteri: What you read is false. Lottery maybe but as far as Casinos? Not all States have them.

Leisa Brodnex: They have no need for nuclear weapons

Raelene Cunnick: Did he say it on his own, or was he asked? That pretty much decides the answer I would think.

Ardell Luy: No. People know you cannot win at gambling except for a million to one shot at big bucks. So just spend it for fun, like entertainment. A minimal amount. Don't take it seriously.

Clemente Schoeck: no. its boostin! g out economy.**Las Vegas****Atlantic City****Mohegan Sun**

Renay Billiar: So South Korea doesn't have any nuclear weapons or a nuclear program?

Virgilio Echter: Well it wouldn't matter anyway because N.Korea knows if they nuke South Korea they nuke themselves. Korea is interesting because only Korea is going to solve it. What side wins is the real question. We hope its S.Korea.

Mandy Mustaro: no, what's ruining our country is way too many immigrants coming over at this time and not enough jobs, illegals we can't send back home or they keep coming and are taking the jobs of those legals who are of their same nationality, the 2008 mortgage fiasco which other countries experienced as well which started with our President Clinton when he insisted that the poor "own" houses and so those homes were foreclosed on, creative financing demanded balloon payments which people couldn't pay, so now lots of people are without homes, stiffing others, on welfare (for food/housing), technology played a part in this and we sent a lo! t of jobs overseas supposing they would get jobs and advance and have their own and send back the jobs but that didn't happen, and corporate taxes are too high to bring in a lot of companies who want to open up in America. Then because of different views in the country (young vs old; new technology) things get stalled out in Washington so things don't get accomplished. As far as gambling is concerned we've always had a few states that were gambling centers, but now the need for extra cash, lowering morals, joblessness well they're pushing for heavy gambling in more states. Sure there is gambling because they say some money will go for education and it does, but welfare recipients are gambling so now we're trying to stop that. If money comes too easy people use it for addictions. but so far it's not the gambling that's ruining the country. It's a mish mash of lots of things too numerous that all need to be solved simultaneously, so that quickness is what's not working.! Just like anything, people have rights (by God and the government) to c! hoose their path. We can't change their path for them, if they have an addiction they have to sovle it themselves....Show more

Chris Wilczewski: gambling is a bad cultural habit.it is good for economy.local people should not allow to enter casino, only foreigner should allow to enter casino. gambling destroy many families and relationship....Show more

Bettye Arre: He is setting the stage for his re election.

Theresia Fashaw: couldn't the North Korea program, in theory, be in pre-emptive defense? I don't know, does South Korea have nuclear weapons or a nuclear program?

Sammie Bocanegra: as far as I knowwe have never given nukes to S.K.But, we have a treaty with S.K.If they get attacked, WE defend.N.K. will lose their launch and nuclear sites, without us even having to invade. And, depending on what they use.You might see Pyongyang vanish in a very bright flash.Followed by a very loud boom.Followed by a very fast wind....Show more

Tamatha Neubaum! : The economy is slowly recovering but it was badly damaged when Bush cut taxes on the wealthy and started unnecessary wars in Iraq, which made the deficit go up. Also every time there is a jobs bill or a bill to help the economy, the Republicans block it because they hate Obama. Gambling is helping some states, they use taxes on it to pay for things like schools. But for 10% of the people that have problems with gambling its a bad thing. Here gambling brings lots of tourists and that is good for the local economy....Show more

Ramona Pago: No they don't...N. K. is sabre rattling again....so this time I hope we rattle back.

Felicitas Phildor: Who cares? They've probably all got nukes anyway.

Pattie Vold: He's playing the cons like a fiddle. Just wait till the campaign starts. You really think that the bi partisan meetings were that? He's going to use them against the cons. McConnell said more than once the cons goal was to make him a one term president. McCo! nnell does not care a damn about America or the middle class. He does n! ot care about anyone except his party and the top 2%

James Langmyer: I don't suppose that protecting South Korea is in America's curiosity. Who cares if the Koreans nuke every different? It's no longer an American hindrance. Not to plug my website, however I make an overly well case for simply telling South Korea to head pound sand on the web page underneath. There's no cause for the USA to spend blood and cash to shield them. They hate us, they may not exchange quite with us, they have got China as much as the north of them.... its simply silly....Show more

Donnell Nocella: Actually, the lottery is a terrible scam, but at least it's a tax on the stupid, so I'm OK with it. But many forms of gambling create decent jobs. Horse racing, table games at a casino, poker rooms. As long as people bet responsibly, it can be a win-win. No so much for slots though.I'd much prefer to spend an evening at the track than at a bar drinking.

Rayford Speziale: If gamb! ling is destroying the UK it is taking it's sweet time. Legal gambling has been more prevalent in the UK than it has ever been in the USA for 100 years.@michael you are only half right. We have one party posing as two( Dems and Rep) .

Chris Coggins: No, we have democrats that are destroying the USA.

Avis Brantner: His biggest obstacle: 89% of Americans believe the economy is bad His biggest asset: The media gives him a free pass because he is African American.

Gabriel Realmuto: Honestly ??I think that his wife and daughters are worried about him getting killed by some right wing nut job ...and given the level of raw naked hate we see for the man on this site alone I can't blame them

Dawn Saha: Not that I know of.

Lyman Gauld: I know - It's as if hell just walked along and sat down over the last 10 years.Bingo halls, Ann Summers sex shops and book makers replacing family activities due to corruptible local councilors.Don't watch TV anymore e! ither, news readers being paid to tell us we're dying everyday (Themsel! ves ensconced), people shown being shot for real, sexual swear words at tea time TV, sex and violence in the soaps, Jeremy Kyle - Murdoch's free view cops with camera's, Judge Judy and Jerry Springer. It's as if people don't act for others anymore, but feel inclined to shock and over dramatize for rating thus advertising revenue, which incidentally is just as insidiously crass. In any case, The Muppets - Pigs In Space frightened me when I was a kid.____________________...Show more
