Hi ,im 19 years old and in full time education (further/higher education)?

Particia Thorton: From the way I see it, there are many grants and scholarships out there to support students like you in your situation. However, I do not think that anybody in this country at this point in time is entitled to free education. Everybody, regardless of their parent's financial status (unless they're the 1% if you know what I mean by that) are trying to find a way to pay for their education. We all apply for FAFSA, find and apply for scholarships and grants, and apply and get student loans. None of us are entitled to free education after high school. We all have to work and pay for it or find the opportunities and resources to teach ourselves. Of course there are the selected few who do get full scholarships, but that's partially their hard work and partially just luck of their situation. Then again, at this day in age there are many free sources like the library and internet that can help people to get a "free education" if they are willing to put the ! effort behind it to teach themselves. People can buy their own textbooks and teach themselves. It will probably give you different results than learning from an institution, but if that is for better or for worse is dependent on the person.I don't know if those are the answers you are looking for, but that is just they way I see it....Show more
