Rena Pepe: That;s exciting:) I am surprised ur Mom does not want you to do it? But any way u don't have to be injured or have a problem, etc. If u would like to be home schooled i would suggest you get a good curriculum. I use Seton Home Study which is a Catholic Preparatory School ( u don't have to be Catholic to join:) It is a very challenging school i have been home schooled since Kinder (i am now currently in 10th grade) and this particular school is accredited so that means you can get into the colleges u want to without a problem. You get ur GPA + you have quarterly tests that r sent to a teacher and they will grade it. It is a great school and if ur Mom is worried about u not getting Recognition she should have no problem w/this school. I hope this helps.Good luck with whatever decision u make!!! PS over all it is not bad at all....Show more
Jose Calaycay: There is a lot of research and info available on the pros and cons of homeschooling nowadays. My advice! is to present some of this data to your mom/parents along with your own reasons for wishing to homeschool. Look for a homeschooling support group in your area and perhaps your mom would be willing to attend a meeting. If she hasn't said "no", there's still hope. Homeschooling can be a very positive and rewarding experience as long as everyone is on board with the decision. You do not have to be ill, injured, or have a problem in order to homeschool. This is simply not true. Do not let your school district tell you otherwise. Most school districts are very much against homeschooling because THEY lose money when kids withdraw. They may also try to persuade you to do school online via the district as this will still allow them to gain revenue on your behalf. I am in no way against school districts but have gained knowledge of this since we began homeschooling a year ago. Homeschooling can work if you are motivated enough, you can get your work done in a short amount! of time and have the rest of the day for other activities, ex! tra-curricular, electives, etc. There is a significant amount of "fill in time" that comes with public school. This is why students have to stay at school for such an amount of time/have to be their all day long. Perhaps your mom is also a little intimidated over her being both mom and teacher. I know I was with my own kids but this too passed and I eventually became less overwhelmed. It is a bit scary at times thinking I'm responsible for providing my kids' curriculum but I try to take it one day at a time. Pray about it. Ask God to point you in the best direction for both you and your family. You can't go wrong. God Bless....Show more
Donella Vasta: The truth is an over generalization, all public college children do not hate all living house knowledgeable children. it truly is very few take position to be vocal about their thoughts. And there are some homeschooled children which will manage public schooled children with disdain. some human beings will ridic! ule everybody it truly is compared to them. it truly is regularly an illustration that they are insecure of their very personal identities, so that they opt for to tug others all the way down to cause them to sense larger. you'll discover this variety of habit between any 2 communities....Show more
Jonie Lauria: I honestly would not recommend being home schooled/cyber schooled no you don't have to have a problem or be injured to be home schooled. i've been going to cyber school for the past 4 years now and im perfectly healthy mentally and physically except being a bit on the heavy side but that don't count. home schooling is nice sure you get to sleep in do the work when you want but the downsides to it are that its alot harder depending on the school you choose depends on a lot really. to do home schooling on a computer you have to be self motivated to stay caught up on work or a parent thats constantly up your butt 24/7 about it that will make you do it. if i were! you i would just stay in school and just deal with it lol but theres a! lso a crap ton of factors that would change my opinion tho. its really just a personal preference and if you think it'll be better for you and that'll you'll learn more or better being home schooled then go for it....Show more
